Sheffield ECMC aims to identify biomarkers associated with genetic susceptibility to cancer, carcinogenesis, disease progression and response to treatment, with the objective of developing and introducing new cancer tests and treatments.

Specialist areas of activity are bone oncology, vascular targeting and genetic instability. The Centre has facilities for imaging, flow cytometry, DNA sequencing and histopathology
