International efforts such as the Human and Cancer Genome Projects, HapMap, Case Control and SNP Consortia have driven unprecedented progress in human genetics which the Health Innovation Challenge Fund, through this themed call, is channelling into patients treatment pathways and wellbeing. Health Innovation Challenge Fund will support work that accelerates the development of innovative technologies, devices and clinical procedures of relevance to the NHS. The fund will enable the translation of the best ideas arising from basic and clinical research into the development of new products, technologies and interventions and approaches from patient benefit.
