From 1 April 2009, the NRES online application form will not be available for new applications to Research Ethics Committees. It will no longer be possible for users to create a new application, unlock or duplicate an existing form.

 

Researchers wishing to create new applications for ethical review should use the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS) from 1 April 2009. For applications already started it will be possible to complete and lock for submission up until 1 September 2009. Researchers can continue to access locked forms in the NRES online system and generate Site-Specific Information (SSI) Forms to apply for R&D approval at NHS sites for studies that are already underway. This functionality will continue to be available until 1 September 2009.
