The Centre is configured around four areas of activity:

1. Clinical Disorders Cluster including

·         Neuropsychiatric Disorders Theme

·         Neurodevelopmental Disorders Theme

·         Disorders of Affect and Addiction and their interface with Medicine Theme covering common mental disorders and addictions. 

2. Engagement, Population and Informatics Cluster including 

·         Bioinformatics and Statistics Theme

·         Clinical and Population Informatics Theme

·         Patient and Carer Participation Theme.  

3. Experimental Medicine and Clinical Trials Cluster including

·         Clinical Trials Theme

·         Imaging Theme including MRI and PET

·         Biomarkers, Bioresource and Genomics Theme.

4. Training and Capacity Development cluster which focuses on developing specialist training programmes in experimental medicine and translational clinical research in mental health and clinical neuroscience. 

We also have world leading expertise in the application of electronic medical records in research.
