Leicester ECMC aims to develop novel therapeutic strategies to treat cancer, particularly with haematological malignancies. A cornerstone of the Centre’s research is to discover and develop novel phytochemicals as potential cancer chemopreventive agents and/or as potential adjuncts to chemotherapy. Biomarkers studies conducted aim to inform treatment decisions and monitor the effectiveness therapies.
